Electrifying Magic of “Passing A Token of Appreciation” among teams!

Appreciation works as inspiring, encouraging force for the one receiving it. In workforce management appreciation of the staff is always critical tool. Appreciation of one may discourage others among team. This is a negative effect of appreciation.

Big challenges or responsibilities are always handled by a team. Team can be layered and cross functional spread across geographical region. Each one of the team contributes at its level and important to achieve the goal in its own way.

How one of them can be chosen as best? In a team synchronization is most important. Only one is doing best will not yield the result. Only one getting charged up by appreciation is not going to charge the whole team.

How about appreciation of whole team? Well sounds good…

But how about passing token of appreciation among team? Sounds better?

It starts with the best performer of the team from management’s view. On receiving token of appreciation that person is supposed to pass it to one of the team members who contributed best to make him\her do the best. Of course data of evidence or facts can be collected and evaluated. Let the token of appreciation be passed among the team. Let appreciation reward get multiplied by each pass. When the whole team gets covered in this game of “Passing the Appreciation”, it’s the BINGO!

As management, what are we gaining by this? It will result in strong team building. This highlights importance of working together. It will act as lubrication to enhance synchronization among team resulting into increase in efficiency.
